Dauphin County Commissioners (Sponsor) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:
DETWEILER PARK - SR 225 IMPROVEMENTS
Sealed proposals will be received online via the PennBid program by Dauphin County Commissioners until 9:00 AM June 23, 2026. At that time the Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Commissioner's Hearing Room, 4th Floor, Administration Building, 2 South Second Street, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
This project is for the roadway widening of SR 225 located in Middle Paxton Township, Dauphin County, PA. Work will generally be limited to within PennDOT's Right-of-Way and will include traffic control, minor excavations, asphalt paving operations, installation of E&SPC facilities, and the furnishing of signage and pavement markings.
Construction is anticipated to begin on or about July 27, 2026 and be completed by October 2, 2026.

There will be no pre-bid conference for this project.
Each proposal must be accompanied by a copy of a Certified Check or Bid Bond payable to "Dauphin County", in an amount not less than Ten percent (10%) of the bid total. Only bonds from companies licensed to do business in the State where the Sponsor is located will be accepted and the bond shall state same.
Notice is given that the project for which Bids are being solicited hereby is a project constituting public works and is subject to applicable provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, the Act of August 15, 1961, P.L. 987, as amended and supplemented, and appropriate prevailing minimum wage rates as promulgated under the provisions of said Act must be paid by contractors in connection with performance of the necessary work.
Bids must be submitted unconditionally. No bidder may withdraw bid within 60 days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. The Sponsor reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any defects, errors, or irregularities in the best interest of the Sponsor. If a bid proposal contains missing information, the Sponsor reserves the right to request additional information be submitted prior to award.
The Bidder is bound to the statements and representations contained in the Dauphin County Anti-Collusion Affidavit (Attachment 10).
All work shall be in conformance with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Publication 408, dated 2026 Initial Edition or as amended, and the Contract Specifications. Pre-qualification of bidders, as specified in Section 102.01 of Publication 408, IS required on this project.
